General Restoration & Carpentry

The firm’s projects have ranged from kitchen and bath up-fits to the complete interior and exterior restoration of a structure. These projects have included staircase stabilization as well as creating new staircases; piazza column restoration, installation of wood shingle, slate, and clay tile roofs; restoration, fabrication and proper fitting of period shutters complete with appropriate hardware; constructing hyphens and new wings to connect sympathetically to historic structures; period restoration of formal rooms in private homes; preservation/restoration of out-buildings (i.e. kitchen houses, carriage houses, garden houses).  Edgewood Builders makes every attempt to retain the original material of the structure whenever possible, i.e. shutters, window sash & glass, flooring, millwork & trim, hardware.
